2:26pm: Busy busy
Well its been a long time since I've been on here...alots happened...alot is different...alot is the same...

I'm back into things now, theres alot in the pipeline, alot of new exciting things to look forward to. Soon will be starting my own show on MuntFM, will put up the exact timeslot in the next few weeks when it is confirmed.
Percy Feral are about to record their first album...HAVE to record their first album, deadlines fast approaching...
Writing for Magneto again before re-orientation begins, got two articles about to come out in the Groove Guide and two more on the way.

Blah blah blah

Still working, lots of work to do right now, shouldn't be on here but at least its just a quick one...BACK TO WORK FOR ME :(

24th April 2006

6:50pm: This is day 7 inside with chicken pox. Damn chicken pox, I had them in standard two and gave them to the other Steph who threatened to not invite me to her birthday party that was in 8months for giving it to her. I remember it clearly. The doctor says that because I was already sick my immune system was low I got it more easily but its still really unlucky. I think I might have pissed off some old man with a voodoo stick somewhere along the line.
I just wanna get back to uni and to work and to all the other random stuff that I do, particularly since Percy Fearl have their first Auckland gig this weekend and it promises to be alot of dodgy fun for all! IF, I'm better.

Ah well I'm up to disc 6 Series 2 of The Soprano's, thats productive, but I must say I've started talking like a gangster.

It was 2 of my best friends 21st on Saturday and I was finishing series one of the damn Soprano's. I'll cherish those memories forever. I think its time to plan a, poor Steph for missing all the fun party, but it can't be this weekend, Auckland, or next weekend, Minuit gig at work...maybe May 6th....hmm maybe I won't be working...who knows....sounds like trouble.

You know who gets back tonight, woop-dee-shit really what does that mean? I don't know coz we don't talk but man I'd like to know what we are, nothing, not nothing, but not SOMETHING either. Confusing. But you know? I think I like it that way or I wouldn't be quite happy to deal with it and carry on my shady life I havn't told him about yet...I mean, if we're not technically "something" I don't have to right?

Not that he'd care.

Emo.

I'm going to clean my room for half an hour before tiring myself out, taking a couple of panadol and watching the Sopranos some more.

17th April 2006

8:04am: Percy Feral will be playing at the St James Grand Circle on April 28th with Viracosha and The Valley Goats.

Entry is $10 and includes a CD.

More from me soon.....

I was gonna talk about some gigs but I can't be bothered right now.
I'm going to be at Bodega downstairs tonight watching, The Dissentors, Percy Feral and King Jankoff, Wednesday for Lou Barlow upstairs for some Dinosaur goodness, Thursday just working who cares anyway and Friday first at Bodega to see Percy Feral and theeeeen to the Blacknote to see Percy Feral, Thought Creature, Dekline (first ever gig!!!!- bout time the stickers have been around long enough!!!!!) etc etc I think Talent Quest too....anyway, come to them ALLLLLL!!!

7th March 2006

12:21am: I'm so bored at work, so so tired. Need a big sleep! A really really big 3 day long sleep!! Losing the plot a little...
Ah well, uni's back now so I've got more fun to look forward to.
Hada good meeting with half of Percy Feral, good merchandise ideas coming up, should be fun anyway...hada chat with Eamonn about doing something with Alphanoise in the future, did I mention I love Thought Creature?
Oh well I've been thrashing the CD they gave me.
The North Shore Pony Club gave me their new EP to say thanks for the article I wrote on them and Farmer Pimp put me on the door for their gig at Happy and gave me a huge thanks so those articles were quite worth doing really! I'm in the Scurvy Dogs top 8 on myspace now, haha those guys are awesome!!

24th February 2006

12:25pm: I've finished my arrrrrrrrrtttttttttttttttttiiiiiiiiccccccccccccccles!!! Yaya I can finally sleep again! I can finally breathe! Works pretty off still aye, I don't know whether I'm coming or going or who thinks what or if info's just being planted or if Antz is EVER gonna grow any more hair...but meh, figure it'll sort itself out and I'm too tired to care anyway!

10th February 2006

7th February 2006

10:42am: Crazy couple of days it has been with writing articles during work and sleeping barely ever to organise this gig and meet my article deadlines. At least after orientation I can concentrate on organising gigs more with just the odd bit of writing, however the experience has been good for. Learning to think of sleep as a good use of time rather than something I can afford to cut into. As soon as I've got all these articles into Magneto and The Groove Guide I'm going to get into bed and sleep until I wake up! And its going to be swweeeeeet.
I did go to one love yesterday in Haitaitai which was the best idea I had in ages, The Black Seeds were wicked, although I didn't really have the time or feel up to going I'm glad I did to take my mind off things for awhile.
My flatmate is real sick with the flu and unfortunately I can feel it coming on for me as well, feeling real blocked up and seedy. Will be interesting to see how I handle being bedridden if I have to be because of it. I don't have the time for this!!

Oh well back to work! : )
Current Mood: okay

3rd February 2006

2:10pm: I had to take the night off work to catch up and I did kind of catch up. Maybe not as much as I would have liked just because as soon as I sat still I realised how tired I was! Work tonight will be interesting with the sevens too, expecting it will be quite busy which will be good because I don't think I can handle a really slow boring sleepy night!
Hope to have most things finished today!

Might have to miss the Bleeders gig again...I always miss the Bleeders I just have to resign myself to it but I really wanna be band liason for the Rhombus gig too...yerk.

2nd February 2006

6:41pm: Good little me is up at uni doing work away from the distractions of home and the fridge. I've had quite a busy but good day after a really swell night out with two of the Ferals, Marc and Rennie.
Percy Feral had a really good practice at Subnine, sounding really good and were offered a gig right there and then by the new Subnine manager for March 23rd...the band are better than ever and looking really great together too! Chur!!
The gig on Feb 17th is looking to be a good one though, Gareth finished the poster before work this morning and its really well done! A great talent that boy, I hope I can employ him when I earn some more....or anything at all for that matter. I'm trying to display it on here but its proving harder than I had first anticipated. I think its just too large. But I wish I could show you guys.

I'm actually about to fall asleep at the computer, I am so tired but have to get some articles done or I'll be toast...Rennies working for me tonight so I can catch up!

Eek.

5:23pm: Busy, busy, busy! Sick of the sun...its sickening and way way way too hot!! Writing an article for the Groove Guide that is supposed to be hilarious, don't know if I can be funny at the moment but I'll give it a crack....when and how did I become a journalist??!! I'm trying to do something DIFFERENT but it seems I'm just best at this I guess...or maybe I'm just in the right places at the right time. Hmmm I wonder.
Oh well I just pressed the wrong button on the computer at uni and charged 15 colour pages to my SCS account...oops I just topped up today too.

Oh well.

Oh boy, well I went to a BBQ yesterday/last night. That was kind of cool, bought some more vinyl today (I'm addicted). Found out I get to interview The Exponents which is chur! Got alot to do at the moment but its all coming together pretty well!

Sleep deprived as usual...

...lyrics, love Alan Parsons

Children of the Moon

Pay no attention to the writing on the wall
The words seem empty 'cause there's nothing there at all
We let the wise men beat the drums too soon
We were just children of the moon
None to turn to
Nowhere to run to even if we could

Too late to save us but try to understand
The seas were empty there was hunger in the land
We let the blind man lead the way too long
Easy to see where we went wrong
Nothing to live for
Nothing to die for

CHORUS
We're lost in the middle of a hopeless world
Lost inthe middle of a hopeless world
Children children of the moon watch the world go by
Children children of the moon are hiding from the sun and the sky
Children children of the moon watch it all go by
Children children of the moon are blinded by the light in their eyes

No one to turn to
Nowhere to run to even if we could

Follow the pilgrim to the Temple of the Dawn
The altar's empty and the sacrifice is gone
We let the madmen write the golden rules
We were no more than mortal fools
Nothing to live for
Nothing to die for

CHORUS
We're lost in the middle of a hopeless world
Lost in the middle of a hopeless world
Children children of the moon watch the world go by
Children children of the moon hiding from the sky

4:03pm: What a crazy few days...NEVER attempt Edward Scrumpyhands, it only ends in madness! Evil, evil madness!
Fun
But Madness...

How do you know when you're instincts are right, thats what I need to know at the moment. When you're thinking of something based on something else other than the something that made you do something at another point in time.
I'm not making any sense...time to go to work.

3:54pm: Today I am going to do. my work. TODAY IS ALMOST OVER and I'm ready to do my work! What HAPPENED to the rest of it. The weather is miserable and the cats got a flea, I found it, its there and I'm going to kill it AND its family, children will not be spared because fleas and little crawlery things are gross, wrong and rightfully disriminated against.
The kitchens gross and sticky and YYUUUUCK, so thats what I'm gonna spend the rest of my day off doing since we have a flat inspection tonight and about 6 people coming through to look at AJ's room at the same time...I'm the only one home so there ya go.
What an interesting few days I've had...ha at least I've gotten some of those articles done.

And Scotty is coming down this weekend again...wonder how much I'll see him this time but I found this photo from ages ago today which Scotty might be interested in...and you if you havn't seen me BLONDE!! Yerk.
Scotty you look so OUT OF IT!!

Also: To Joshy, I hope you get better and can go and have a good time again. I've been thinking about you and I hope that your skin stops giving you such a hard time. Miss you, thanks for the call yesterday, will call you in a few days to check up again.

Will be good to catch up with some people tonight. Chur.

9:14pm: Horrible horrible putrid night at work last night, you wouldn't read about it. It was like Days of Our Lives mixed with a sex wars version of The Colour Purple and a drunken boss episode of Doctor Phil.
Won't go into details but it sucked the big kumara and the big kumara really sucks.

22nd January 2006

3:49pm: Big big ups to the Evils who opened for Gestalt Switch last night. Both were awesome, I'm not a fan of Aces High, I think they are stuck up but we won't say anything about that incase I am quoted in the press. James tried his widdle hardest to get the tiny crowd into it, highlight = James playing guitar on the table, James playing guitar on the leaner, James playing guitar while crashing through the drum kit with his buttocks while the drummer kept drumming. Very classy.
And then AFTER work, well thats a whole other story you'll have to ask me about privately, all I'll say is chur and smileyface...but nervous...thats just me

4:36pm: Just realised there are Atomic and 24hour party people photos online, I spotted some major celebrities in the crowds at the last atomic and I think you all should know about it.

THE Percy Feral was seen mixing with mortals @ the last Atomic....who by the way I missed because he was too much of a pussy to keep drinking til I finished work....some people! And Kier from DEKLINE hides his face...not a fan of the cameras sorry ladies, and he's dancing with his beautiful gf Ngoc - you poor young things can eat your hopeful hearts out.

Loving the shirt!!

Mrs Feral herself on the right was looking ravishing....rather see her than The Feral anyway...rraaaarrruurr...(that was supposed to be one of those dodgy cat noises)

Oh Matt you are so beautiful! High Calibre...haha get it...Calibre Productions...oh god I'm hilarious........that was really bad wasn't it? (Realisation one isn't funny can be a torturous moment)

Oh. My. God. is THAT? Oh I think it is....the beautiful sideburns of my Andy Zero himself!!! Anyone would think the members of Percy Feral like RETRO MUSIC!! Go figure.

Inspiration for this moment of embarresment came from attending 24hour party people last night, I think I got photographed....I hope that was during a good moment.

12:28pm: INDIGO'S OPEN AGAIN!
Is it still Indigo even? SanFrancisco Bathhouse yet? I don't even know, its Indigo to me and it wasn't the same when she was gone! So good to have somewhere to hang out after work thats NOT work! And of course to see the staff again.
DJ Flanders and Mad Frankie DJ'ed last night @ work...AKA Fraser and Tane! It was actually quite a good night except for creepy ponytail man trying to be my best friend.
We went a bit nato with the smoke machine and actually had smoke coming out from under the crack of the front door and smoke in the toilets, it was great because you could only see about a metre in front of you...kind of spooky not being able to see any of the customers, but there weren't alot there at that stage and thats why we took it so far. I was doing contemporary dance on the stage and noone could see me. Ha!
Buzzy thing for me last night was Tane telling me how he remembered marking Connan Tant's track 'Naughty Holidays' as a 5th form composition assessment and now its my favourite song from Connan and the Mockasins. Hmm, classic.
Does anyone know if The Who was the first band to use feedback or not?
My Mum thought she read that somewhere but wasn't sure if it was The Who or not, as anal as it sounds I can't stop thinking about it!

How You Live Your Life

You are honest and direct. You tell it like it is.
You tend to avoid confrontation and stay away from sticky situations.
You prefer a variety of friends and tend to change friends quickly.
You tend to dream big, but you worry that your dreams aren't attainable.

1:07pm: Well I woke up this morning with popcorn in my hair and all over the floor. I'd fallen asleep clutching a bag of popcorn watching Fantastic 4 which by the way I saw none of, with no recollection of what had happened to the person watching the movie with me - assuming I probably snored right through the movie anyway and drove him to eventual despair.
Sally took me to the RASA for dinner where we drank 8.95 a bottle pinot noir and had a great old chat and got back to Room101 to find a woman persuading the audience to hang themselves through song...or something like that...??!! Honestly sometimes I just don't know what some musos are thinking when they play in public.
I can't believe I missed Shihad! I can't believe I missed Shihad! I CAN'T beliiieeevvvee I missed Shihad. I got my days confused and thought that last night was Tueday and therefore I'd have one more night to go, I'd buy a ticket this morning and go tonight but seeing as tonight is THURSDAY, and even if Shihad were playing again at Valve tonight which they're NOT, I'd be WORKING anyway. God I frustrate myself sometimes. I had a big old winge to the Monteiths Black guy who I think might be a few sandwiches short of a picnic and he stared at me like I was...great, even the Monteiths Black guy looks at me funny!!!

Kind of tired though, woken by my mother @ 6.30am because they were dropping Steves girls at the airport, now I think I could fall asleep at any moment!! At least I don't have to work until Thursday!!
Man, big ups to The Aviators who played at the Botanics last night, crazy crazy good! Funky, funky, bouncy, summery fun!! Loved it!!

Gotta meeting of sorts at Massey at 2...its way too hot to walk all the way over there...sigh.
